First Leaders Are Defined at the RSSU School Champions’ Cup

One third of distance of the RSSU School Champions’ Cup within the frames of the 11th Moscow Open festival is over. More than 715 kids from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kirgizia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Lithuania, Germany and England are the participants of the competition. This is the record number in the history of the tournament. 

After three rounds 14 participants of the tournament among Boys U9 have no losses, including the ranking favorite of the tournament, Champion of Russia, Europe and World in the U9 age category Ilya Makoveev (Gelendzhik).

7 participants of the same age group in the Girls’ tournament gained 3 points, including the European medalists Emilia Zavivaeva (Nizhny Novgorod) and Olga Melenchuk (Krasnodar).

10 participants playing in the tournament among Boys U11 have a 100% result.

The leaders of the Girls’ U11 tournament are Daria Bondareva (Moscow), Alisa Kokueva (Sakhalin), Julietta Tletseri (Adygea), Taisiya Tereshechkina (Moscow), Olesya Moiseeva (Yakutsk) and Uliana Bereda (Saratov). All of them have 3 points each.

Each of Mikhail Pesotskiy (Moscow), Kazybek Umbetov (Kazakhastan), Artem Poliakov (Krasnoyarsk), Vladislav Rovnov (Chita) and Pavel Grishin (Ryazan) managed to gain 3 points in the tournament of Boys U13.

Ranking favorites won all their games in the tournament of Girls U13. They are Aleksandra Maltsevskaya (Volgograd), Anastasia Zotova (Kemerovo), Adelya Zinatullina (Kazan) and Anna Podgornova (Togliatti).

Boris Soshin (Moscow), Aleksandr Makarenko (Moscow region), Mikhail Galiullin (Tatarstan), Rinat Fakhretdinov (Bashkiria), Kanan Ahadzade (Azerbaijan) and Nikita Klimov (Yaroslavl) are leading in the competitions among Boys U15.

Several players have a 100% result in the tournament of Girls U15. They are Anna Khristenko (Kurganinsk), Irina Barbaeva (Irkutsk region) and Yana Spiridonova (Kazan). Two participants are half a point behind the leaders.

Young chess players have to pass six more rounds.
